VIA Creative

Redeveloping the logo and brand for VIA Creative. With the goal to move towards being a digital first creative agency

Core Values and Mission Statement

Early on in the project, we establish the goals and mission statement that would go on to define the brand and the process.

The new logo would build upon the previous style, but with a more modern feel to reflect the company's move towards digital industries. The rebrand also includes a new suite of service icons and illustrations, along with social media images to celebrate the agency's anniversaries.

VIA Creative Showreel

Animated showreel I made during my time at VIA Creative, showcasing the variety of projects the company had worked on in it’s 15+ year history. Here I aimed to bring together a number of projects in an engaging way.

New Online Presence

At the beginning of the web design process we started by creating a mood board, which consists of inspirational visuals, colour schemes, and typography. As our aim for the new site was to create a portfolio that felt different from the competition, yet clearly showcases the agency’s core values. We established the site structure, followed by wireframing to ensure the site is simple to navigate.

The content also needed to clearly demonstrate how we work with our clients, and the process we use to achieve the best results. We included content for our process, branding workshops and service offering. With this we were able to build out the website with content that would have a better chance of being found through search results.

During my time at VIA, I created a series of icons and illustrations for social media and blog posts instead of using stock photos. This helped add personality and make our posts stand out. Some of the more recent icons are shown in the compilation of blog images below.

Blog images compilation

These blog posts also allowed me to explore topics that interested me, such as examining the best and worst logos for the World Cup, and World War II poster design propaganda.

This enabled me to experiment with several different styles, while I was able to research interesting subjects that I am truly passionate about.

For VIA's 15th anniversary, I created a new page and graphic that was used on a promotional poster featuring design work from the past 15 years.
